In continuation of my previous post, I am pleased to report that one of my fellow tourists, present that day to witness my face-off with the cheetah, Mr. Bert Huizinga, sent me a few of the photographs that he took of that ‘spectacular event’ (his words not mine). I also share the email sent by him. As rightly pointed out by him, he was focusing on the cheetah and hence you almost don’t see me in the photographs. However, if you pay a little more attention, you would notice my nose behind the camera (in fact a little more than that) in two of the photographs. Yes, that is the nose of yours truly. The sequence aptly corroborates my experience that day. One day I can show these photographs to my grand children to prove how brave I was (once upon a time). Of course, I am grateful to Mr. Bert Huizinga for permitting me to share these photographs and his email with all of you.
Email from Mr. Bert Huizinga :
Dear mister Rajesh Kapoor,
On August the third we met in the Masai Mara , during a spectacular event.
The cheetah that jumped o to your safari car.
I imagine, you could see only the head of the cheetah on the pictures you have made.
Enclosed you find the photos I have taken. I was focusing on the cheetah, so you are hardly on them you self. But on 2, on the edge, you can see just a part of yourself.
I hope you like them.
Best regards to you,
Bert Huizinga
